Supplies

Stamps:  Silhouette Scenes

Ink/Coloring:  Pacific Point, Versamark, Sponge

Cardstock/Paper: Whisper White, Pool Party, Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper (DSP)

Cut & Emboss: Banner Pick-a-Punch, Clear Emboss Powder, Heat Tool 

Adhesives: Stampin’ Seal, Stampin’ Dimensionals

Embellishments: Glitter Star Ornaments

Directions

Cut Whisper White Thick Base at 5 ½” x 8 ½”,  score at 4 ¼””

Cut Pool Party Paper at  5 1/4” x 4” and ⅞” Scrap

Cut Designer Series Paper 9DSP) at 5” x 3 ¾” and ¾” Scrap

Stamp silhouette with versamark on DSP, then clear emboss.  Color DSP all over with Pacific Point.  Layer DSP onto Pool Party and the base.  Stamp DSP scrap and Banner punch both scraps.  Add Glitter Star and layer with dimensionals..

Ink and Drag Technique

Hi Beauty~

I hope you re having a wonderful day!  I have had a busy week, but I had to take time to show you this ink and drag technique.

It literally is a gift card/credit card type card that is placed on an ink pad and dragged across the paper.  I found this technique while looking into bible journaling.  I tried it on my planner and I felt it turned out just beautiful. 

 

Then I wanted to try it as a quick and easy card. 

 

It worked so well, that I had to share it via a card swap with all my Stamping WeStamp group (we do a monthly swap).  So I quickly made 11 cards and I couldn't believe how fast and easy it was to make this greeting card.  So I decided to a show and tell video to show you exactly how fast it is to make a handmade card.

Shabby Chic? Mixed Media? What is the name of this technique???

Hi Beauties~

If you follow me on Instagram or YouTube, you would have already seen this super cute card with these fun Sizzix Bird Stamps from Tim Holtz.  I have been enjoying coloring these little guys with my new alcohol inks.  I love just creating a hodge podge card (so I call it, although I am sure it probably has a technique type name that I am not aware of, maybe mixed media).  I called it shabby Chic. Any way, enough tinkering with the keys, let's see the card!!!

Isn't that such a cute little bird.  He has so much character.  If you are interesting in seeing how I made this card, please check out this video.

I LOVE what I do!!!

Hi Beauties~

Last Saturday I was at a Stampin' Up! On Stage Local convention. I was able to relax with many girlfriends and just hang out all day while we stamped and played with new items from the upcoming Occasions and Sale-a-bration Catalogs. Here are some of the items we created.

Festive Crafting - DIY Gift Idea

This weekend I took part in a collaboration with some fellow you-tubers.








I made a Tea-cup bird feeder for Christmas gifts this year and decided to make a DIY how to video. I found a whole fine china tea cup set for on $8.99 at a local thrift store. I was able to make 6 gifts with everything I had on hand. Glue and DIY hangers and bird seed. The Initial Gift

Hi Beauties~

I wanted to share this gift that I made this evening for my cousin, who is graduating from High School. Sadly, I won't be able to attend her graduation, as we are out of state. However, I wanted to let her know that I am so proud of her and thinking of her. We have a big family, so I am pretty sure she will be writing a few thank you notes. So I made her some monogrammed notecards.



Of course, the envelopes must be decorated to match!


I also wanted to make sure she had a place to store them so I created a gift box out of DSP and some Vellum.



Who doesn't love their own Initials? I know I do!!!


I am pretty happy with the final project. What do you think? I hope she will enjoy this handmade gift that was made special, just for her!

Now to make to make a graduation card and get this gift of love in the mail.

Tip: I used the remainder of the ouch out to create a stencil to make as many balloons as I want. I used a dauber to place the ink to some whisper white paper.

Mask that...

Hi Beauties~

Hope you had a wonderful Labor Day weekend.  I enjoy those long weekends, because it gives me time to spend with family and friends and of course, extra time to get some stamping time in.  This is the card I made this weekend.
