Washi Wednesday - Faux Washi Technique

Hi Beauties~

Happy Washi Wednesday!!!  As promised, I am going to show you how I got the look of Washi tape with just some copy paper, Stampin' Up! Paper Trimmer, stamps and ink.

Wasn't that easy?  Here is the card I created in the video.

That was fast and inexpensive with a new look every time.  I will keep the templates for future quick Washi Tape looking cards.  I am traveling this week to New York.  I am pretty sure I will miss stamping with all of you, but when I come back I will make sure to get on here as soon as possible.  Thank you all for your support throughout the year.  I look forward to a wonderful 2014!

Remember, even though I am out of town or away from my computer, you can always order online from me at www.jeanpiersanti.stampinup.net

Think outside the box - Stamping Tips & Techniques

Hi Beauties,

I am loving this new trick I found to make my own faux looking Washi Tape.  Here is a sneak preview of the technique.  Tune in tomorrow to my YouTube channel www.youtube.com/stampinupgirl to find out how I did this.  Make sure to subscribe to this blog and to my YouTube channel, so you will never miss any of my tips, techniques and great specials.

Here is another cute little label.  Can you tell me which punch I used to get this label?

Also, remember to think outside the box when creating you greeting cards and scrapbooks.  I used the round array stamp set here.  The close-up below I used to create the middle of this beautiful flower.

Hope you enjoyed today's Stamping tips.  See you tomorrow to show you how I created the faux washi tape.

Quick & Easy Backgrounds for Handmade Greeting Cards

Hi Beauties~

Did you get a lot of Christmas gifts that came in bubblewrap?  I did, so I wondered if it would make a cool textured background for my hand made greeting cards.  The answer is yes!!!  I was so excited to see what a great background turned out.  First I tried it with ink refills and that came out way too messy and dark (too much ink).  Then I tried it by running it through the Stampin' Up! Big Shot in a sandwich bag.  That came out real nice.  I also tried it with the bubblewrap wrapped around a clear block and that came out just as well as the one I ran through the Stampin' Up! Big Shot.  So I decided that would be the one I showed you.  Very quick, very easy and such a great texture!  Here is the card I made along with a short video how to of how I did the background.

Quick, Simple & Easy Valentine

Hi Beauties~

Wow, it has been a while.  Hope your holidays were terrific.  Mine were great, with a lot of traveling.  I have been up and down the entire coast of California, been to Las Vegas twice and Reno is where I spent Christmas with my hubby's family.  I did have a great time, but I am happy to have a little time to relax at home and enjoy my craft room.  I wanted to get in a quick and easy valentine for you, since it takes a little longer when you have to make 20-30 little valentines for the kids schools, team and groups.  I thought this was a real neat one and also be used for a quick hello, thinking of you or thank you card.   I like it because this technique can also be used with virtually any punch.  Enjoy and Happy New Year to you and yours!!!
