Mixed Media - For Beginners

Hi Beauties~

If you are a crafter, then you are an artist. I believe that artist are born, not made. I have loved making art since the very tender age of birth (I'm assuming, because I can't remember a time I didn't love making stuff with my own hands). With all that being said, sometimes I like to get a little abstract. So when I saw mixed media growing popular, I had to give it a try. This is my first go round with Mixed Media, of course I had to use as much Stampin' Up! Products as possible. I colored the canvas with re-inkers placed direct to canvas and then rubbed it in with a baby wipes. I then swirled Crystal Effects in a funky wave (I love the bleeding of the colors that the crystal effects brought. Some clay, shapes with mold and some by hand, punches, button so, twine and some jewels and I think I am pretty happy.

Now, I am looking for a little help in naming my piece. What emotion or thoughts come to you when looking at my beginners piece of Mixed Media art? Comment below for a chance to win a pack of Jewel Basic Pearls (as you can see I love the look of them in mixed media pieces). One winner will be picked at Random on May 3rd. I can't wait to make another piece soon!

Always time for a quick Thank You

Hi Beauties~

My Sister-in-law asked me to make her friend some thank you cards. She likes chevrons, so this is what I came up with. I sure hope she likes them. Cute and simple and with love, just like that new little one she will be having soon!

The inside is stamped with a "you"
