Global Stampers - Techniques for Card Making

Hi Beauty!!!

I am super excited about this month's Global Stamper's.  The Theme is Techniques and I can't wait to see everyone's take on a technique (from around the globe.  I tried a new technique that I may have made up (probably not, but I've never seen it in card making.  It only requires paper, dish soap, re-inker, water and a straw to create a one of a kind background.  I hope you enjoy this technique.

 



This is the black paper with white pigment ink.  I thought it was a fail, as you'll see in the following video, but as it dried it came out pretty cool.  Here is the video!  If you try this technique, I hope you will share it on my Facebook Page (Beauty and the Stamper).

Supplies


Stamps:  Celebrate Sunflowers, Banner Year


Ink/Coloring:  Stazon Black, Early Espresso, Various Stampin’ Blends


Cardstock/Paper: Very Vanilla, Early Espresso, Crushed Curry


Adhesives: Mini Glue Dots, Stampin’ Dimensionals


Embellishments: Oval Dies, Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon

Directions

Cut Very Vanilla Base at 5 ½” x 8 ½”,  score at 4 ¼”

Die Cut Early Espresso with Large Scallop and Small Oval to make a Frame

Die Cut Crushed Curry with Medium Oval and Small Oval to make a frame

Very Vanilla Greeting Piece 2 ½” x ½”


Stamp greeting with early espresso and stamp Sunflower with stazon ink, let dry then flip vellum over and color image with Stampin’ Blends.  Glue Vellum to frame, then layer small frame and ass to base with dimensionals.  Add Greeting with ribbon behind and bow on top and viola, your card is complete.

Supplies


Stamps:  Banner Year, Festive Corners, Pattern Play


Ink/Coloring:  Rococo Rose, Soft Suede


Cardstock/Paper: Whisper White, Soft Suede


Adhesives: Stampin’ Seal, Stampin’ 


Extras & Embellishments: Silicone Craft Sheet, Elegant Faceted Gems

Directions

Cut Soft Suede Base at 5 ½” x 8 ½”,  score at 4 ¼””

Cut (2) Whisper White Thick Cardstock at 5 x 3 ¾” 


Stamp as desired, then achieve mirrored look by stamping on the silicone mat and placing opposite of riginal stamped image to get a mirrored image.  Finish by layering all pieces onto card base (dimensionals optional) and finish with rhinestones to complete.

Supplies


Stamps:  His Love


Ink/Coloring:  Memento Black


Cardstock/Paper: Whisper White Thick, Crushed Curry, Playing with Patterns Designer Series Paper (DSP)


Adhesives: Stampin’ Seal, Stampin’ Dimensionals


Embellishments: Holiday Rhinestones Basic Jewels

Directions

Cut Whisper White Base at 5 ½” x 8 ½”,  score at 4 ¼””

Cut Designer Series Paper at  2” x 3 ¾”

Cut Whisper White Thick Cardstock at 5 x 3 ¾” 


Stamp cross onto Whisper White Layer, then Stamp bottom of cross and greeting onto Designer Series Paper.  Align the two cross pieces (cut to align, if needed). Layer all pieces onto card base (dimensionals optional) and finish with rhinestones to complete.
