Good Crafternoon - You've been framed!

Hi Beauties~

I love my crafternoons!  It is when I get a little time alone to do my crafts (usually on a weekend).  Today, I want to show you how I turned the Hardwood stamp into a frame rather than just a mere background.  I stamped crumbcake card stock with baked brown sugar ink, then using my Stampin' Trimmer, I cut out the inside of the card stock to the size I wanted.  Then I spritz it with water and crumpled it to get a more weathered wood look.  This made a perfect frame for my flower.  Using Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities to color in my stamped images, I believe these inks make the images come to life.  I just love the new blendabilites and can't wait to see more and more colors come out in the future.  I used the standard A2 card size and trimmed the opposite corners with a my corner rounder punch.  These are just a few of the items that I used to create the Sympathy Card pictured below.

www.jeanpiersanti.stampinup.net

Remember, just because it is a background stamp, doesn't mean it has to be used only as a background.  Get those creativity juices flowing and have a wonderful CRAFTERNOON !!!

In my Opinion:  Although the clear stamps are less expensive, I prefer the wood stamps for large backgrounds.  It makes it much easier and less messy.  Plus it's always ready with very little prep time.

Stamping in New York.... Back in Arizona with more stamping to come !!!

Hi Beauties~

I am back from New York for a few weeks and am already loving being home in Arizona!  I don't even mind the heat!  I am back to ALL my stamp sets and most importantly, my Big Shot!!!

I can't wait to get back into making more videos for you all.  I did make some cards for our hotel guests quite often and they really enjoyed them.  Here are some of the cards I made while in NY.  Hope you enjoy them.
http://www.jeanpiersanti.stampinup.net
This is a card that I made for my Dad's Birthday.  I used the What's you type for the background.
http://www.jeanpiersanti.stampinup.net
This one I gave to my my grandson Trent for his first birthday, using Gorgeous Grunge and What's your type.  This card is similar to my Dad's birthday card.  That is because I made them on the same day because they both have the same birthday.
http://www.jeanpiersanti.stampinup.net
This card was a fun one.  I sed the fleshtome blendabilities for the doggie.  I made this one for my brother.  He started his own salsa company called Mags & Tilly Salsa.  He couldn't go wrong because it taste just like my Grandma Esther's salsa.  I am so proud of him and can't wait to see where this venture takes him.
http://www.jeanpiersanti.stampinup.net

This card was just one of those happy accidents.  I was very pleased with the outcome and everyone who sees it, has told me how pretty it is.  I will show you in a later video how I did it.  So keep your eyes out for it.  I originally made it for my Mom, since I was really missing her.  My parents live in California, so we were 3000 miles from each other.  Well instead of sending this card, I decided to keep the card and drive cross country to go home and see her.  It was a great week!  I cried as soon as I saw her... No matter how old you get, it is always so comforting to be hugged by your Mom and Dad.

Baby - Thank you, Thank you, Thank you

Hi Beauties~

My sister-in-law is pregnant and expecting her first child this month.  She lives across the country and I wanted to give her something she could use immediately.  So I made a stack of Thank you cards, as she just had a baby shower.

I sent them and within two days I received a lovely thank you from her.  She was so excited to be able to send a handmade personal card to the guests who attended her shower.  It warms my heart to know that she loves my crafts and appreciated the time that was put in to make a dozen thank you cards for her.  I also made a matching box using and idea from my June My Paper Pumpkin pinwheel, with just a quick scissor technique.
Hope you like it.
