Little Change, Big Difference

It's amazing how just a small change can make a big difference in the look of a homemade card.  Here is a card that was stamped with a small embellishment, then decided to stamp another flower and use embossing poweder, then used a framelit to cut out the flower.  I attached the flower with a dimensional, a few lines and dots with an opaque white gel pen and it seemed to have transformed the card.  I love the difference.  What additional detail can you add to one of your current creations to make a big difference?  I can't wait to see your ideas!

Old Olive or Night of Navy? Let's put them together!!!

I have really been enjoying Old Olive and Night of Navy lately.  Isn't it amazing how you are just attracted to certain color combinations as the seasons change?  Well, as you can tell, I have been using it alot lately.  Here is fun little snippet of a card I made earlier today to also go out with my Mother-in-law's thank you batch.

Chalkboard Card Technique

My brother made me a great camera stand so I can make better videos.  I am having to learn all over again, because I was just using my iphone to create all my other videos.

A nice thank you...

The passing of a family member is never easy, but the love that poors out from everywhere is so great.  It really warmed my heart seeing how many people made themselves available to my Mother-in-law after her husband passed.  I thought what a great way to say thank you, literally, would be to create Thank you cards for her to send to all that gave her such wonderful support.  This is one that I came up with using a couple of items from Stampin' Up!'s Sale-a-Bration.  I just love the new Borders Scoring Plate from the new Spring Catalog, don't you?  I hope she likes it.

I found these great lollipops at the Dollar Tree (they spin, like a pinwheel).  And I thought I could dress it up a little with some DSP, a couple punches, ink and some bling.
